Tempe’s council wants to gauge if residents are as torn as their elected officials over creating a public-finance option for elections.
Tempe residents can offer their two cents on the city’s proposed plan during a special public meeting Monday evening.
The proposal, which calls for funding the clean-elections program by adding a five-dollar fee to every ticket the city issues, has so far divided the council.
