Arizona Advocacy Network Announces Third Year of Internship Program

Phoenix,AZ- Arizona Advocacy Network is pleased to announce the third year of offering its internship program at Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University and University of Arizona. Interns will have the opportunity to experience non-partisan, progressive civil engagement and in turn encourage participation in their fellow students.

The positive experience of past interns led to Barrett, The Honors College at ASU requesting Arizona Advocacy Network expand its program to honors students as well. Interns will also have the chance to become involved in AZ YAYAs, Arizona Advocacy Network’s youth advocacy group. The campus group was established this year with help from current interns and Arizona Advocacy Network.

Risa Reyman, a current intern helped establish the group and has enjoyed becoming more politically active through Arizona Advocacy Network.

“I started interning for Arizona Advocacy Network because I was tired of feeling powerless in the political process.  Here, I feel like I’m making changes I can see. Already I've helped established the AZ YAYAs, a club for other youth advocates who care about voting rights and clean elections.”

Applications are currently being accepted. Phone interviews will be scheduled with our executive director beginning the week of January 6. All selected interns will be required to attend an orientation in January. The date and location will be determined after the selection process is completed.
