2017 Legislative Report

Disenfranchising college students who live on campus. Ending Clean Elections. Picking judges in partisan elections. These were some of the many terrible ideas for our democracy that were proposed during this year's legislative session.

Our 2017 Legislative Report touches on all of this year's most important bills affecting our democracy, and our work in communities, in the media, and at the state capitol to fight back. In particular, the Report gives a more detailed picture of our efforts to fight back against the Arizona Chamber of Commerce's attacks on voters' constitutional right to direct democracy, a fight we are still waging in court.

As we move forward it's important to take a moment and reflect on all we were able to accomplish together this session and to thank you, AZAN's members and supporters, for making that work possible.
